Reading Pool Payout Logs for Archive Reconciliation

Pool dashboards show today’s hashrate. Archive reconciliation needs yesterday’s payouts — sometimes three years of yesterdays.

Export before you start

Request a CSV export covering at least 18 months. Most pools include: payout date, amount, transaction ID, and destination address. Screenshot exports are acceptable for reconciliation sessions but CSV is faster to cross-reference.

Match on address, not amount

Payout amounts fluctuate with luck and pool fees. The destination address is the stable identifier. Build a simple table with two columns: pool address and your wallet designation from the archive. Every pool address should appear exactly once on that table.

Watch for sub-accounts

Operators running multiple worker groups sometimes configure different sub-accounts with different payout addresses. A single pool login can hide three active destinations. Export each sub-account separately or filter by worker name before reconciliation.

Orphaned addresses tell a story

An address that received payouts six months ago but nothing since may indicate a retired configuration still visible in pool history. Mark these as “retired, last payout [date]” in your archive rather than deleting the entry. Future you will want to know why that address exists.

When logs and memory disagree

If you remember switching addresses in January but the pool log shows payouts to the old address through March, trust the log. Memory shifts; transaction records do not. Update your archive to reflect actual payout history, then investigate whether March payouts were lost or redirected.
